Our School Day

What Do They Get Up To?

If you were wondering what the school day looks like.

  • 8:30am

    School opens for students

    There is opportunity for students to have breakfast and discuss any issues they have with their key support worker.

  • 9:20am

    Lessons start

    Lessons are 45 minutes long and are punctuated throughout the day with short breaks.

  • 9:20am - 12:30pm

    Morning Activities

    Core subjects are taught in the morning, where students are taught in small groups of similar ability.

  • 12:30pm

    Lunch

    Lunch is provided on site by an external provider, on occasions students may be taken out on a reward basis.

  • 13:30pm - 14:00pm

    Afternoon Activities

    Afternoons are dedicated to PE, Art, PSHE and group activities. The group activities allow students to develop relationships with peers and staff. This time may also be used for guest speakers.

    Friday Afternoon is enrichment time, this may include off site activities or internal team building.

  • 14:00pm

    Dairly Wrap Up

    Each day is ended with a whole school meeting. This is an opportunity to reflect on the days learning and any other issues.

  • 14:15pm

    Home Time

    School ends for the day.
